Koh Samui Dining

Most hotels have restaurants. Those who want to dine out for special treats can always go to the numerous eateries, located in all corners of the city. Be aware that most of them serve Thai food and many have waitpersons who cannot speak English. Restaurants in hotels are more suitable for the un-initiated, but the price is often more expensive.

A handy Thai word at all restaurants is "Mai Phet" (not spicy). If you don't ask, your meal may be served in Thai style and you'll really know the meaning of the word "FIRE" (...in the mouth).
